Most of the boys took advantage of the anything goes dress code at the MTV VMAs last night. 50 Cent stood tall in his tan blazer while his frenemy Kanye got all tuxed up for the event. Adam Levine went pretty boy in a vest and scarf while Ryan Scheckler kept up his skater style and Steve-O grossed us all out with his nasty chest hair. Shia decided to get fancy, but we're starting to think that he looks much better when he keeps it casual and shaves his face (what's with the gross stache?). Overall, the boys didn't make for the most exciting red carpet in the world, but at least the ladies gave us something to talk about. Which of these guys would you most like to have on your arm?

    This year's MTV Video Music Awards brought out some sexy ladies in satin like Rihanna, Nelly Furtado, Rosario Dawson and Hayden Panettiere. All these gals decided to let the fabric of their frocks do the talking and boy was their chatter loud. Rihanna opted for long and pink; Nelly and Rosario kept it cool in black; and Hayden went fun in short and blue. Naturally, each exuded a very different look, but one thing kept them together: sexy satin!

    One of the hottest trends of the evening was body-conscious, aka skin-tight! It's not a surprise when Paris shows up in a tight dress, but on Alicia Keys and Mary J., the tight styles are definitely new. M. J. has her own take on the trend with a floor-length version, and Megan Fox rocks a can't-fail Herve Leger. As for the usually breathtaking Ms. Keys, it looks like this is one trend she could have skipped.

    Apparently things got a bit heated during the VMAs tonight. Word is during the show Kid Rock and Tommy Lee were throwing down. Both famous ex husbands of Pam Anderson were escorted out of the arena. Tommy and Pam have never hid their on-and-off again relationship but we understand why Kid would be pissed off seeing them flaunt it in his face by making out. In fact, apparently Kid didn't take it lightly and he initiated the brawl. They're both skinny and scrappy, so - who do you think would win in the Tommy vs. Kid Rock fight?

    The thing that struck me the most while watching all of the ladies on the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards this evening was that everyone was pretty darn unique.

    The thing that struck me the most while watching all of the ladies on the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards this evening was that everyone was pretty darn unique. Most of the ladies looked fabulous, but not a lot of obvious trends emerged, which I found quite refreshing. We had everything from Mary J. Blige in her form-fitting floor length black gown to a blonde Nelly Furtado in a satin pantsuit, but the four ladies below especially stood out. I love Hayden Panettiere's bright blue satin number, Rihanna's floor-length fuchsia gown, Jennifer Garner's sexy metallic frock and Ashlee Simpson's fresh off the runway BCBG LBD. Which was your favorite?

    Okay, I have to be honest with all of you: I looked at Mel B. and thought, "Wow, she looks amazing! Eddie Murphy must feel like such a cad for treating her so rudely." The best revenge is looking great, they say, and Mel's big smile shows that she's living it up.

    But then I looked closer, and saw visible lip liner. Gah! Melanie Brown, you know better! Still, we all make a makeup faux pas now and then (remember Paris' lipsticky teeth?), and overall, this Spice is far from scary. What do you think?
