Maybe it's because we're used to seeing Keira Knightley in period-piece dramas, but when the actress hit the red carpet for her latest film, we couldn't help but draw a likeness between the beauty in Valentino and a character in an Austen novel. Sure, this project, Seeking a Friend For the End of the World, is far from the world of Jane Austen, but the ladylike elegance and intricacy of her nude-hued, floral-appliquéd gown had all the makings of an amazing costume. The difference was that Keira wore the gown effortlessly — making even her red floral headpiece look easy to pull off. She was also careful not to overdo the accessories, finishing the look with an understated pair of patent, nude pumps and avoiding any other jewels — save for her sparkly engagement ring. This is just the kind of lovely gown we hope Keira wears down the aisle. Click on to see every gorgeous angle.
Snow White and the Huntsman has already hit theaters in the US, but lucky for us, Sydney just celebrated the movie's premiere with another stunning look from Kristen Stewart. For her solo red carpet appearance, Kristen made an exotic statement in a gorgeous forest green and gold embroidered look from Balmain's Fall collection (notice how the color perfectly matches her eyes?). No doubt, Kristen has come a long way since her shy red carpet appearances for Twilight; here, the actress exudes confidence in Balmain's formfitting two-piece ensemble finished off with gold, crystal-adorned Christian Louboutin pumps. Click the slideshow to see her jaw-dropping look, and if you've missed a moment of Charlize and Kristen's SWATH world tour premiere looks, it's all right here, too!
The Queen's Diamond Jubilee is drawing out Kate Middleton's chicest looks. Kate Middleton joined the royal family to celebrate the queen at both the weekend's festivities on the Thames and this morning's Thanksgiving mass at St Paul's Cathedral — and opted for ladylike McQueen sheaths at both. She stepped out on the Thames first in a statement-red dress, then followed the outing with today's appearance in a creamy lace frock, accessorizing each with a coordinating hat and clutch — and her signature LK Bennett pumps. With both looks she proves again that she wears just about anything from ball gowns to polished day dresses with the same ease and elegance. Click on to see her light up the queen's celebration from all angles.
We were treated to twice the royal glamour when Kate Middleton showed off two gorgeous teal dresses this past weekend. The Duchess of Cambridge first made heads turn when she arrived in a lace-embellished, chiffon pleated Jenny Packham gown for Our Greatest Team Rises Gala dinner held at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Friday. The glamorous gown elicited a jaw-dropping reaction as Kate made her event arrival, complete with a lace-embellished clutch, teardrop diamond earrings, and a pair of gold-embossed Jimmy Choo heels. Kate's look later in the weekend proves she can make casual wear look just as beautiful, arriving in a silky shirtdress by Libélula for a polo tournament in Berkshire, England. The breezy teal knee-length dress has all the makings of a perfect Summer frock, which Kate finished perfectly with a pair of nude Stuart Weitzman sandals. Click on to see how Kate outfitted her two teal looks this weekend.
In what we can safely say is the most sophisticated play on the slit-dress trend, Kate Middleton lit up Claridge’s hotel in London for the Thirty Club dinner last night. If like us you were caught up in the world of Met Gala fashion, then you might have missed the Duchess of Cambridge's showstopping arrival in the creamy Roland Mouret gown from Fall '09. Flashing just a little leg, Kate played off the gown's skin-revealing slit with ease and confidence, and accessorized its creamy white hue with a touch of sparkle on her shimmering clutch and metallic Jimmy Choos. It may just be one of our favorite looks from the Duchess to date. Click on to see her utterly chic arrival from every angle.
Imagine our surprise when we saw Beyoncé Knowles arrive on the Met Gala red carpet on the arm of none other than André Leon Talley. The megastar and new mom looked gorgeous in a Givenchy Couture gown — and what a gown it was. The dress, adorned with intricate beading, lace, and lots (and lots) of feathers, fit B like a glove and showed off her rather impressive postbaby body. We're smitten with Beyoncé's look, to say the least — and because it was such an ornate, jaw-dropping take on the Met Gala, we felt it necessary to show you her ensemble in true Fab fashion. We're filing this Met Gala look under legendary: Karolina Kurkova is a vision in Rachel Zoe's custom-made gold-sequined gown. The supermodel took the red carpet by storm with the bold and beautiful confection, topped with a coordinating turban and finished with a jaw-dropping display of diamond bangles and rings. With confidence and glamour, she carries the '20s-inspired outfit perfectly, making it one of the most dramatic looks on tonight's red carpet — and with Karolina's playful poses, one of the most fun to watch. Leave it to Miley Cyrus to showcase one of Spring's biggest trends, while also sending tongues wagging about her personal life. Miley attended Muhammad Ali's Celebrity Fight Night in Phoenix, AZ, last night and successfully pulled off the lingerie-inspired trend in a frothy, peach-colored Jenny Packham gown. Not only did she look gorgeous and age-appropriate, but she also went easy on the accessories, opting for a few thin gold bangles and one stunning round diamond ring — which has people speculating that the singer may be newly engaged to boyfriend Liam Hemsworth. While we can't confirm that Miley is getting hitched, we can safely support her soft, sexy dress and take on the boudoir trend. Click through to see more up-close details on Miley's look now.
Editor update: Miley Cyrus confirmed engagement to Liam Hemsworth on June 6th, 2012
When you're playing The Girl on Fire you have some big shoes to fill — especially when it comes to statement-making gowns. That said, Katniss may have had her day in the book, but it's clear from last night's LA premiere that Jennifer Lawrence owned the Hunger Games red carpet in a jaw-dropping gold lamé cutout gown from Prabal Gurung's Fall 2012 collection. Just a glimpse of Jennifer in this gown and it's as if the look was made specifically for her — for this movie and for this premiere. With a thigh-high slit, a hint of skin, and accessorized with just the right hair, makeup, and metallic-tinged Jimmy Choos, the effect is all strength and sex appeal — in short, she killed it. For the second time today, Diane Kruger caught our attention at the Berlin Film Festival, this time wowing in a dramatic Giambattista Valli gown at the premiere of Farewell, My Queen. Thanks to a bold combination of polka dots, a ladylike tie-neckline, and a wash of sequins over the bodice, the couture confection may just be another one to add to the growing list of looks only Diane can wear. Adding to the drama, Diane sported an edgy set of cuff earrings, dark polish, and a statement clutch by Judith Leiber. We're still digesting the look, but now we're turning it to you — click through to see every angle, then be sure to tell us what you think in comments.
