>> Although Emmanuelle Alt says her full vision for Vogue Paris won't be felt until the August 2011 issue, the April 2011 issue marks her first as editor-in-chief of the magazine. Already, she's made some changes — expanded beauty coverage, simpler layouts and typography, a bigger commitment to feature articles among them. And she has plenty more in mind: “I want to show in French Vogue more and more a lot of clothes." In fact, of this first issue, she says: "It’s simple fashion. You can see the clothes perfectly.”

She plans to continue devoting covers largely to models, but will require them to show less skin than they did under Carine Roitfeld's eye. “One boob,” she says of this first issue: “Otherwise, you don’t recognize it’s French Vogue.” And instead of Roitfeld's edgier vision, Alt says: “I want the Vogue to become very feminine. Women are very interested in fashion and beauty.” She's also recruiting a new team of freelance stylists: “I want to have new people working for the magazine. I also want to push some young stylists: all the girls who have been trained by French Vogue.” A look at the outcome — Alt's first issue — in the slideshow.

Last night in Paris, Michael Kors threw a party to celebrate the 30th anniversary of his eponymous brand. The star power was intense. There were models, singers, editors, It girls, actresses — and most of them were decked out in Michael Kors. Now that they're engaged, it's even more interesting to see Anja Rubik and Sasha Knezevic get all hot and smoldering for this Russian Vogue editorial, photographed by Alexi Lubomirski. The insanely gorgeous couple look like they're on the run (whilst dressed in Spring '11 Dolce & Gabbana and Gucci, of course), driving through a desert landscape in a vintage Cadillac. It's almost like a fictional part deux to Anja's H&M magazine spread, where Anja posed in a desert landscape and a rugged, sexy Sasha made a cameo appearance, this time on a horse. >> In anticipation of Valentine's Day, Vogue had Patrick Demarchelier capture six models and their men for the February 2011 issue.

Among those featured: the newly affianced models Anja Rubik and Sasha Knezevic, who went to Central Park on their first official date. According to Rubik: "We actually came wearing identical Rag & Bone shirts and Helmut Lang jeans." There's Coco Rocha and her husband, James Conran, who are celebrating their first Valentine's Day married by going to see Prince — his favorite musician — in concert; and Angela Lindvall and Mark Wystrach, an actor and co-founder of People's Shoe (a line of eco-friendly footwear). They had their first date two years ago, Lindvall says — "We took his Volkswagen, went surfing, ate shrimp burritos" — and now reside together on seven acres in Los Angeles's Topanga Canyon, where they've planted an organic garden and 60 fruit trees.

Alessandra Ambrosio and her fiance, Jamie Mazur, who owns a denim company, met at a mutual friend's wedding in Rio de Janeiro. But they didn't start dating until two years later, when they ran into each other at Coachella. Ambrosio says of Mazur: "I always have new jeans, and because he has to follow trends, I get the best gifts — like Louboutins and vintage sunglasses. One Valentine's Day, he learned all my favorite Pearl Jam songs and serenaded me."

And rounding out the bunch, there's Aminata Niaria, who met Laurence Dennis (he works at British Embassy in Paris) at a Halloween party he hosted five years ago. He was a mummy, she was Catwoman. And models Bonnie Chen and Rock Ji, who met backstage two years ago at Beijing fashion show. Soon after, he surprised her by showing up at the University of Pennsylvania campus, where she was majoring in psychology.

>> In the latest round of Spring 2011 ad campaigns to pop up, Crystal Renn nabbed a starring role in Jimmy Choo's colorful, colorblocked set shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin; Baptiste Giabiconi sprays Freja Beha Erichsen and Stella Tennant in their Chanel suits with a water hose; and Ellen von Unwerth, who first found fame photographing Claudia Schiffer for Guess, is back for another round with the brand.
