Fash's Friday Obsessions!

We're experiencing a serious case of Fall shopping itch today and with the weekend upon us, it's time to divulge in some retail healing (or lusting, at least).

We're experiencing a serious case of Fall shopping itch today and with the weekend upon us, it's time to divulge in some retail healing (or lusting, at least). Our shopping obsessions range a mix of cold weather accessories, from J.Crew's genius two-in-one gloves and Vanessa Bruno's cozy textural scarf to decadent splurges from Phillip Lim and Ashish. Also, we can't stop swooning over Erin Wasson's totem-print Lindsey Thornburg Maxi Dress — she was spotted wearing it at New York Fashion Week — and for the daring, it also comes in a snazzy mini dress version.

Trend Alert: Liquidy Black

There's black and there's liquidy black — the kind Michelle Monaghan sported and turned heads in.

There's black and there's liquidy black — the kind Michelle Monaghan sported and turned heads in. It's not leather, though it has the same slick shimmer; it's part sequined, part luxe liquidity in the fabric. Slip on the slinky sparkle in liquidy black skirts, dresses, shirts, and more — then, just watch it shine.

Eclecticism at its best, and we can't get over her gray peep-toe boots. Emulate the look with a printed dress by Rachel Pally, loose-fit gray sweater by CeCe, and platform boots by Carvela.

Cocktail attire doesn't have to mean cocktail dress, and this season we're taking inspiration from menswear trends when dressing for the evening hours. Picture the above jackets and vests with skinny tuxedo trousers—like Stella McCartney's lace-trimmed stretch pants or Preen Line's PVC leggings—and a heavy heel or bootie for an I'm-with-the-boys party look.

Trend Alert: Cat Print Minis

Sigh, I will never tire of Miranda Kerr's cuteness.

Sigh, I will never tire of Miranda Kerr's cuteness. In addition to being one of Victoria's Secret's top models, the natural beauty is also a master at casual cool styling. While running errands in her native hometown of Sydney, Australia, she cranked up the fashion factor by pairing a blazer and tee with a vivacious cat print mini. Genius. These savage minis — whether lush leopard, cheetah, or tiger prints — add the ideal dose of animal instinct, and look best paired with loose casual tops. Just look at Miranda for inspiration; you know I will.

If you're looking to score four trends with one dress this Ashish One-Shoulder Dress ($895) is the way to go. One-shoulder. Animal print. Sequins. Mini. Check. But, I'm tripping over the neon green hue. A little iguana-esque, no? I'd be all over it in navy. What do you think?
