Trend Alert: Scallops

Mmm, scallops. I love the sweet, chewy seafood treat.

Mmm, scallops. I love the sweet, chewy seafood treat. But, scallops are also a fun and easy look to wear. Remember Marion Cotillard looking like a majestic mermaid in her scalloped Jean Paul Gaultier frock at the Oscars? This ethereal trend comes in a plethora of shapes and sizes. My favorite scalloped look is the romantic and flowing larger cut layers. Just make sure to wear this look closer to your body to avoid any extra volume. Bon appetit!

Simply Fab: Shopbop Supports the Earth

Happy Earth Day everyone!

Happy Earth Day everyone! We should try to make eco-friendly decisions every day, but if you haven't already, today is the day to reflect on how you can make a difference, big or small.

Shopbop is doing its part by housing an eco-friendly section dedicated to designers who have gone green. Larsen Gray, Beau Soleil, Bono's EDUN, and C& C California are just a few in the eco-chic roster. They are living proof that you can be nice to the environment without sacrificing style and quality. Personally, I can't believe my eyes that this Larsen Gray Bellara Crop Braid Tank ($216) is made of 50 percent soybean and 50 percent organic cotton. Sounds and looks good!

Nicole Richie stepped out for some shopping and a refreshing drink in her much-loved boho style. She made this Karen Zambos Vintage Couture dress her own with her trademark Balenciaga, oversized sunnies, and Grecian sandals. I suppose we should be adding the H (for Harlow!) initial necklace to that list now too. It's good to see Nicole out and about more often, though I'm sure she's being kept busy in her new mommy role!

Trend Alert: Cutton as a Button Cardigans

When in doubt, grab a cardi.

When in doubt, grab a cardi. How many cardigans do I have? Let me count the ways. Maybe about eight? But the thing is, they're all different and I wear them all. Layer them in the Winter, use them as a cute cover up in the Summer. They work for the seasons between, too. Keep an eye out for cutton as a button cardigans and good luck, because they're hard to resist.

Don't Forget to Vote For the Biggest Mystery Fabric Faux Pas of 2007!

I said it once and I'll say it again: I can't stand itchy, scratchy fabrics and I can't stand the celebrities who wear them.

I said it once and I'll say it again: I can't stand itchy, scratchy fabrics and I can't stand the celebrities who wear them. The other day I asked you who committed the biggest Mystery Fabric faux pas of 2007. The cool thing is you can voice your opinions and enter to win a $1,000 cotton shopping spree in which you can buy the coziest, softest, most-stylish wardrobe. You just need to log in and register in order to vote and win.

Here's the fun part for me: I have put together a wish list of some of my favorite cotton designers. This list proves that you can wear cotton and be stylish — something every real fashionista knows. See more fabric faux pas and funny videos at mysteryfabrehab.com.

Celebrity Style: Nicky Hilton

Nicky Hilton was taking a casual stroll on Beverly Blvd.

Nicky Hilton was taking a casual stroll on Beverly Blvd. in her shrunken Kate Moss for Topshop vest, black skinny jeans and buckled flats. All the items I just described are old timers on the fashion scene (Kate also has the same vest), but what's new and divine is her Burberry Prorsum studded bag. It adds mega oomph to her simple outfit. For such a gorgeous piece, I'm shocked that no other celebs are carrying it. I bet Nicky likes it that way.

You can always count on C&C California to have the softest, comfiest tees.

You can always count on C&C California to have the softest, comfiest tees. I consider their Classic Tank to be, well, a classic. To ring in Breast Cancer Awareness Month, C&C has taken that Classic Tank and reincarnated it as the Breast Cancer Classic Tank, $48, complete with a cute little pink ribbon print!.

It's a great way to show your true colors (pink!) and support a great cause, since a portion of the proceeds go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Plus, you'll be totally comfortable in and with your new purchase — no buyer's remorse here!

"Gossip Girl" debuted last week and though I was skeptical at first, it has done a fabulous job of nurturing my "The O.C." withdrawals.

In the second episode last night, Serena van der Woodsen's current frenemy Blair Waldorf had an exceptional wardrobe, one of them being a delicate white eyelet dress she wore to to a fundraiser brunch at a posh hotel. Like a true rich girl, she donned pearl bracelets, a girlie headband and just to spice things up, a pair of sexy patterned tights. Sticking with the innocent-but-sexy motif, she wore black patent Mary Janes on her feet.

Do you love her ensemble as much as I do? Get the look below...and don't forget to watch the show next week then check back here for more fabulous outfits!

Trend Alert: Peace, Love & Happiness

This year is the 40th anniversary of the Summer of Love.

This year is the 40th anniversary of the Summer of Love. A time of youthquake, denim, free love and exploration; a time of American history. I have been noticing peace symbols on clothing and accessories lately, and while it may be temporary, I believe the idea of love, peace and happiness is always in Vogue. These KORS Michael Kors Danbury patent loafers, $165, were a recent purchase of mine and I can see myself wearing them for years and years, thus sprinkling a bit of peace, love and happiness wherever I may go.
