Gwen Stefani kept her Cannes Film Festival fashion coming this evening at the premiere of Sean Penn's This Must Be the Place, choosing a black-and-white gown with strategic cutouts. The singer went solo for the red-carpet debut after her husband, Gavin Rossdale, caught a flight out of nearby Nice this morning. Gavin and Gwen were together last night, though, for the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS fundraiser along with Kanye West, Bar Refaeli, and other stars. Sean was also by himself for today's unveiling of the film, without girlfriend Scarlett Johansson. Gwen's cycled through a collection of gorgeous gowns and dramatic outfits during her time on the French Riviera, but her trip hasn't been a completely formal affair — Gwen wore a bikini while enjoying the sun on a yacht with Gavin, Zuma, and Kingston this week.

Jennifer, Zoe, Mary J., and More Toast Michael Kors at His Paris Party
The US Embassy hosted a cocktail reception in honor of designer Michael Kors last night in Paris, with invitees including Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Zoe Saldana, Amber Heard, and Anna Wintour. The soiree marked his line's 30th anniversary, and Mary J. wowed the crowd when she performed "Family Affair" to celebrate the occasion. The get-together was one of many taking place during Paris Fashion Week. Several celebrities have been stepping out in the City of Lights for parties and runway shows, including Chanel spokesmodel Blake Lively and Kanye West. Jennifer, who shows off her newly svelte figure in the latest Essence magazine, didn't hang around long after the evening's festivities, though — the singer was already back in the States this morning!
"Nothing" Would Convince Claudia Schiffer To Get Back on the Runway
>> Claudia Schiffer is happier in the front row than on the runway these days, she says: "Nobody believes me but I'm very shy — much better in small groups of people than on a stage with everybody looking at me. I understood that I had to do it when I was modelling, but now, since I don't have to do it, I'd rather not. Designers are very clever at trying to persuade me to do it each season and it's flattering that they do, but nothing would change my mind . . . Nothing, definitely." [Vogue UK]
