Trend Alert: Bolder Than Bold Geo Dresses
Must . . . fight . . . post-holiday depression. I tend to grab cozies and neutrals after a month of decadent nibbles, sequins, and party gear. But Jennifer Lopez is a believer in the healing power of bolder than bold geo dresses. Though the holidays are over, party time isn't — I already have some cool parties lined up in January, and awards season is upon us. And nothing perks the party up like a standout print. Jennifer's draped Mara Hoffman encompasses Winter colors, and the longer sleeves remind us it's still hibernation time. Hibernating never looked so hot. Come Spring, shed the tights, and these will shine just as bright.

Look of the Day: Cobalt Cutie
Emiliebirkin is emitting major cobalt cutie in her pretty dress. I adore the multicolor neckline and paillette-embellished hem. Take note of how she paired it with light camel heels to keep the focus on top. Simply dazzling!
Here's what she has on:
Dress: Custo Barcelona
Shoes: Miu Miu
Bracelet: Unknown
Congrats to Emiliebirkin!

Celeb Style: Crystle Stewart
Miss USA Crystle Stewart made an appearance at the Fall 2009 Custo Barcelona show looking just as beautiful as ever. Her natural features were amplified with a vibrant dress created by the design house. The colorful dress speaks volumes, so keep the accessories neutral like Crystle. Shop it all now.

Custo Barcelona Sequins Print Mini Dress: Love It or Hate It?

Custo Barcelona brought us some really cool caftans at 2008 Miami Swim, but what do you think about their dresses? This Custo Barcelona Sequins Print Mini Dress ($262) is definitely eye-catching and funky. I love the mix of colors. Do you love it or hate it?

Sizzlin' Miami Swim, Part II
The hotness continues in Miami, and I don't just mean the weather. To every bikini lover's delight, the swim shows prevail. In this batch are two particularly awesome designers: Vix and Custo Barcelona. Vix is perfect for the modern gal who loves a sexy cut and graphic prints. Custo is now on my radar for Missoni-like caftans and patchwork bikinis. And Red Carter reminds us of the fabulousness a sun hat brings.
Life's a Beach: Go Bold and Bodacious
Why not go bold and bodacious with your swimwear this Summer? Sexy, loud prints are a fun way to kick in the waves and best of all, they can camouflage any minor imperfections. This yellow confection by the king of prints, Emilio Pucci, is the perfect example of bold bravery. Dramatic side-swept hair like Kim Noorda optional!
Love It or Hate It? The Modern Cornrow at Custo Barcelona
We'll get to the hair in a sec, but first let's take a moment to appreciate the gorgeous, dewy skin on this model backstage at the Custo Barcelona show. Her braids remind me of cornrows (or over-braids), only they don't start at the scalp. I really like how there is a few inches of shiny smooth hair and then about a dozen or so individual braids flowing around the head. What do you think of this modern cornrow look?
