Sometimes translating a hairstyle from the runway to a real-life look can be tricky, especially after seeing it on picturesque models. But at the Dannijo show, we were able to get tips on how to re-create the sexy, messy chignon seen on the catwalk — in 30 seconds to boot. Johnny Stuntz for LUXHAIR WOW shows us how to get the look in this Beauty Beat.
For Fall 2013, Dannijo designers Jodie and Danielle Snyder channeled all things '80s opulence. The sisters were inspired by the late Elizabeth Taylor and bygone episodes of Dynasty for their latest collection, offering up gorgeous multicolored baubles that are just begging to be worn on the red carpet. Models sported sparkly gowns and sleek, slightly understated beauty looks, creating a perfect backdrop for the oversize statement pieces done up in bold jewel tones and oxidized crystal. Just press play to get a look at the entire collection now.

Last night, Jenna Dewan stepped out in LA looking fabulously fresh in this white long-sleeved Tibi dress ($345), topped with a statement Dannijo necklace and finished with snakeskin Report Signature pumps. While you might think a white dress isn't versatile enough for Fall, let us convince you otherwise. Inspired by Jenna, you can wear it with an equally dazzling statement necklace for a night out, or if it's chilly, throw it on over black tights and black patent pumps for a mod touch. You can also rock it with leggings, booties, and a black statement coat or with awesome printed leggings for a funky feel. Convinced? Score Jenna's exact dress now and make it part of your Fall style rotation.

Fans of Dannijo's über-statement jewels and those who wear Matt Bernson's rugged, relaxed shoes might have pretty different styles. But they'll both love the brand's footwear collaboration. Set to debut on Sept. 2, the partnership combines the best of both label's aesthetics.
"DJ X MB styles will attract a customer beyond our everyday market," the Tribeca-based shoe designer said of his team-up with sisters Danielle and Jodie Snyder. "They are bold and have a glamorous fashion feel that differs from my usual subdued tones that appeal to our 'downtown meets the beach' girl. But my customers will also love them and it will definitely capture a consumer we have never gone after before."

Mark your calendars. The Dannijo team (that's sisters Danielle and Jodie Snyder) are giving their statement baubles a luxe, perfect-for-the-beach (or yacht) twist for their latest collaboration with Calypso St. Barth — and it's shoppable this Friday. We're no strangers to Dannijo's statement necklaces and cuffs (they're the coveted kind of eye-popping jewels usually topping our shopping lists), but coupled with Calypso's feminine, easy chic, the collaboration ($325-$625) gives way to lots of sparkle, cool turquoise hues, and bold pops of coral — just the thing for glamming up your bikini, for starters. Before you shop the goodies Aug. 10, we caught up with the Dannijo duo for a little more insight into their Calypso Loves Dannijo collab, their ever-awesome baubles, and their own Summer style. Read on for more from Jodie and Danielle, then click through to get a glimpse of the collection.
FabSugar: What was the inspiration behind this collaboration and how is it different from your other collections?
Jodie Snyder: Our customers really respond to the Dannijo lifestyle, and we have always admired Calypso St. Barth as a lifestyle brand as well. The Calypso team gave us their color palette for Fall and really let us do our thing, combining colors and materials in unexpected ways that fit the Calypso St. Barth customer.
FS: What are each of your favorite pieces in the collection?
JS: We're known for our bib necklaces, and we love the turquoise big bib necklace we did for [this] collection.
Danielle Snyder: The Valerija earrings from our Calypso St. Barth x Dannijo collaboration are a must have! These earrings transform any look from day to night flawlessly!
FS: What's the one Summer piece every girl should have in her wardrobe?
JS: Bib necklaces are a classic Dannijo style and a favorite of ours. Right now we're loving the gold, Calypso St. Barth x Dannijo coral bib with tassels.
FS: How is your style different from your sister's?
JS: Danielle is a bit more bohemian, rock 'n' roll inspired, and I'm a bit more classic.
FS: What's in your beach bag?
JS: Tons of magazines, a great book, sunscreen (Lancaster, Lierac), Burt's Bees wax chapstick, sunglasses, big beach towels.
On her way out of a yoga class in West Hollywood, Sophia Bush injected a pop of flair to her casual Summer look with this eye-catching multijeweled Mr Dannijo necklace ($295) and equally bold turquoise loafers. The actress worked her colorful accessories with a scoopneck white tee, denim cutoffs, square tortoise shades, and this Apolis "defend tomorrow" tote ($68), part of the "defend tomorrow initiative," which supports long-term employment in Bangladesh. Score Sophia's exact statement necklace and earth-friendly bag, which she helped design, to pair with a white tee, denim cutoffs, and turquoise flats. Then throw the necklace on top of a little black dress at night for instant pizazz.
A slew of Hollywood A-listers stepped out last night to celebrate the launch of The Shops at Target in NYC, but only a few stood out as style stars. Emma Roberts, Leelee Sobieski, Hilary Rhoda, and January Jones donned chic and easy-to-re-create outfits we can't wait to steal. Emma went casual in a colorblock sweater, Hilary opted for a springy look, Leelee showcased a menswear-inspired ensemble, and January dolled it up in a feminine-slash-boyish number. Step inside to get a closer look at these spotlight-worthy styles, then shop the looks — including exact pieces — for yourself.
Dannijo designers Danielle and Jodie Snyder are expanding their impressive jewelry line — celebs like Blake Lively, Beyoncé Knowles, and Rihanna have all been spotted wearing their cool-girl baubles — to include a new shoe collection with footwear brand Matt Bernson. “Shoes are the same as jewelry — it’s an emotional buy," said Jodie Snyder. "You gravitate towards something different and unique. These shoes are more like jewelry for your feet." Similar to their jewelry line, the collection hones in on the duo's rocker-girl aesthetic, highlighting a neon embellished cage look, aptly named the "Zeppelin," and a sequin-heeled fringe ankle boot. Dannijo's five-piece shoe debut will range from $238 to $420, and will be available in August online at Matt Bernson, Shopbop, and Dannijo. Check out the slideshow to see one more look from the line, along with images from the brand's Spring jewelry campaign.
At the Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows premiere in LA last night, Amber Heard made a pretty convincing case for ditching the dress and slipping into a menswear-inspired getup. Her deconstructed tuxedo style draws on classic masculine pieces, but gives them an entirely feminine spin — and we're not just talking about the gorgeous waves or rouge lips. With a sleeveless, fitted white blouse and slim, high-waisted tuxedo pants, Amber highlights her curves, then adds a hint of glitz via a statement cuff by Dannijo. Add in a metallic clutch and a tuxedo blazer to top the whole thing off, and this look is made for the holiday party circuit. Feeling inspired? Shop our key pieces to channel Amber's chic evening style.
