While Jennifer Lawrence's red Dior Couture gown from the Golden Globes may be top of mind — although we fully expect her to outdo herself in the coming weeks — we have to let you in on some runway-to-reality fodder. That gorgeously sexy black Prabal Gurung cutout creation she wore to the Critics' Choice Awards is exclusively available to preorder on Moda Operandi. With a fairly steep price tag and an estimated delivery date of June 1, this hand-draped leather yoke gown ($4,550) isn't exactly an impulse buy, but listen, if you regularly find yourself dressing for black-tie events (or just want to treat yourself), this is a no-brainer. Its skin-baring reveals never veer into the too-much-skin territory and the floor-skimming train injects a subtle amount of Old Hollywood glamour. Lest we forget, the sweetheart neckline and leather detailing provide the perfect juxtaposition of a sweet vs. tough sensibility. And, just like Jennifer did, you too could find yourself on the receiving end of some stunned reactions. What other kind of response could you illicit from this kind of head-turning gown?

It's finally here: after months of anticipation, the full lookbook and prices for Prabal Gurung's collaboration with Target have arrived.

Gurung's collection of ready-to-wear, accessories, and shoes will be available in Target stores and on its website from Feb. 10 to March 23, and prices will run from $13 to $200. The most expensive piece is a light blue leather biker jacket, while a few pieces of jewelry round out the lowest price point. The offering features a number of floral pieces, and everything in it speaks to Gurung's modern and romantic aesthetic.

Speaking of romance, it's fitting that this collaboration would launch so close to Valentine's Day. Gurung said these clothes were made for falling in love.
br>
"The collection is inspired by a girl's journey through the different stages of love and the clothes she wears during each milestone — from the first date to meeting the parents to the engagement," Gurung said.

Even though award season has just begun, it's safe to say that Jennifer Lawrence is already on a roll. The Silver Linings Playbook and Hunger Games star topped our best-dressed list at last night's Critics' Choice Awards in her black peplum Prabal Gurung Pre-Fall 2013 gown, and she dipped into the collection once again for the AFI Awards in Beverly Hills this afternoon. Quite frankly, we're obsessed with Jennifer's recent red-carpet looks — this metallic, neon tweed dress is just another amazing ensemble for us to pore over — and we can't wait to see what she serves up at the Golden Globes this Sunday. Click through now to see Jennifer's feminine, flirty AFI look from all angles.
If there's one thing we've learned tonight, it's that 2013 might just be the year the tried-and-true black dress gets redesigned. We're talking about dresses that upped the style, drama, and sex appeal of a timeless red-carpet favorite. Naomi Watts, Jaime King, and Jennifer Lawrence all stepped onto the Critics' Choice Awards red carpet, showing us designers' new takes on black gowns featuring elements of shine, sheer cutouts, and soft draping. Naomi went minimal in Emilio Pucci, showcasing a bold sheer cutout, while both Jennifer and Jaime opted for dresses cinched at the waist. Jennifer's Prabal Gurung gown amped up the drama with gorgeous draping and leather detailing, while Jaime's Jason Wu number channeled Old Hollywood with its shimmering fabric. All three stopped us in our tracks, but which star do you think updated black the best?

The votes are in — you chose Prabal Gurung as 2012's designer of the year. And rightfully so, because it was no ho-hum year for Prabal. In addition to designing gorgeous collections for his namesake and ICB by Prabal Gurung line, Prabal contributed to the Target + Neiman Marcus holiday line, managed to find time to dress the Easter Bunny, played street-style photog on the side, had a major red-carpet moment with Jennifer Lawrence, among other celebrities, and announced another designer collaboration with Target, slated for February 2013. Congrats to a majorly talented designer whom we can always count on to deliver the most amazing creations that have our jaws permanently dropped. We can't wait to see what magic he creates in 2013!

Prabal Gurung's latest offering might be the most inventive blending of art and commerce we've seen from the Pre-Fall 2013 collections so far.
br>
The designer managed to distill references as disparate as his homeland of Nepal and Baz Luhrmann's 1996 film Romeo + Juliet, parts of which were filmed in Mexico, into a collection that preserved the visual appeal of his last outing without mimicking all of its embellishment. A metallic tweed in bright neon blue, green, and pink was combined with black fabric for a lightweight coat and a shift dress, and floral prints and patterns dominated where solid blocks of color or black and white did not.
br>
There were a few dresses that Gurung couldn't help decorating, though, most notably a black dress with panels of white and purple fabric that got covered in a lattice of blue and green blooms. That dress, like so many others in this collection, struck the hard-to-get balance between a dream and something you can actually buy and wear.

Diane Kruger attended the Museum of Modern Art film benefit honoring Quentin Tarantino last night in NYC in a jaw-dropping Prabal Gurung confection. Her gray gown, featuring a white leather and metal belt, sheer skirt, and ruffle detailing, gives off a superfeminine vibe, while fun accoutrements add a whimsical twist to her look. Her Charlotte Olympia domino clutch injects a playful touch to her evening ensemble and we love her shimmery feather earrings and signature mini diamond hoop. For your next holiday soiree, take a cue from Diane and don a gorgeous gray gown for a refreshing twist on black-tie dressing. Need more convincing?
