Adriana Lima Tells Us Being a Bombshell Is "All About Embracing Yourself"
It's hard to hard to believe that Adriana Lima has been with Victoria's Secret for over 10 years now, but it's true, and the sweet Brazilian beauty looks like she hasn't aged a day. Lima made an appearance this morning at the Victoria's Secret store in SoHo NYC, wearing a sleek navy sheath by Black Halo, to promote the brand's sexy new bombshell collection. Between photo snaps, Adriana took time out to talk about being a bombshell, finding the perfect swimsuit, and more:
- On being a bombshell: Being a bombshell is about embracing yourself and feeling confident. There are things you can do to help you feel confident like wearing the right lingerie and choosing the right swimsuit for the beach.
- On finding the perfect swimsuit: Number one is that you have to find something you feel comfortable in. It's not about showing more or less, it's about you feeling confident with what you're wearing. I love triangle-shaped tops and bottoms, the smallest ones possible because I hate tan lines.
- On her favorite pieces from the VS bombshell collection: The collection is all about being sexy and embracing your sensuality. The balcony bra is my favorite; I love the shape and colors and it's very Brigitte Bardot. The miraculous is good for nightwear, it's very va-va-voom.
- On her Summer essentials: A stringkini, eyeliner, flip-flops, a pair of cute shorts, and VS bra and panties.
- On Summer vacation plans: Miami, with my family!
The Covet List: Luxe Bikini and Tunic

The Pieces: Matthew Williamson Bikini and Melissa Odabash Tunic
The Investment: $295 and $180
Why We Covet: A few Summers ago I traveled to St. Tropez for my friend's wedding, and there was no weekend more casually glamorous or beautiful than that weekend in August on the French Riviera. All the women seemed to have the perfect suit and the beachiest tunic. It made me realize the value of one incredibly sexy, perfectly cut, high-quality, gorgeously-printed bikini. Because if you have that, you'll be forced to spend all your time on some beautiful beach to make the most of it. And you'll never fret over what to wear to a beach barbecue because you'll have this bikini and this gorgeous tunic to throw over it.

Sneak Peek: American Eagle's Summer '11 Collection
Outside a heavy wet snow fell, but inside American Eagle's New York showroom it felt like a beach in Costa Rica, complete with cute guys serving breakfast burritos. AE debuted its Summer collection with the theme "Take the new path," which we interpreted to mean the shortest path to the beach in some faraway place. It was a global-minded collection of casual, beachy separates and ethnic-inspired accessories. Embroidered peasant tops, baja knits, and sundresses are meant to be thrown over your bikini and layered with beaded necklaces, while your brightly woven bag will be filled with a wide-brim hat and a cute pair of espadrilles with a floral tie. We love the recurring global theme for Spring! Mark your calendars: the collection will hit stores beginning in April.
