How You Can Take the Perfect Beach Waves Into Fall

Just because Summer is more like a distant memory, doesn't mean you have to ditch your beach waves. Model Erin Wasson made an appearance on Extra last night, sporting tousled waves that were completely seasonless. Lucky for us, this casual look is easy to create. After washing your hair, create a part and rough-dry your hair with your hands (or let it air-dry). Once your hair is just slightly damp, spritz in a sea salt spray like Bumble and bumble Surf Spray ($24) and work through with your fingers. Next, gently separate your hair into two halves and create loose buns on each side. Make sure to twist away from your face to get a flattering result. Just let dry overnight and wake up to effortless waves. For a dry-hair version, simply use the beach spray on dry locks, twist into buns, and use a blow dryer to set the look. Let your hair cool while you do your makeup, and there you have it: perfect waves.

Esprit Makes a Comeback With Gisele and Erin — and Cool Fall Gear
Esprit has been off our radar for a while now, but it looks like the brand, which was once our go-to for cute basics, has received a much-needed makeover. To kick off its new streamlined strategy, the brand enlisted top models Gisele Bundchen and Erin Wasson for its Fall campaign. "Our target consumer is now a woman who is forever 30," said John Gunn, continental president of Esprit North America, who also noted that all of its brands will be consolidated into one single moniker for an easier shopping experience. No doubt, Gisele and Erin piqued our interest, so we checked out the site in search of Autumn essentials, and — behold — we found some goodies. Check out out top three picks below:
- This peasant blouse is Parisian-grunge chic — especially when paired with black jeans and a leather jacket.
- We love this cool, print scarf. Pair it with a patterned top for a quirky mixed-print ensemble.
- We've been on the hunt for semirelaxed jeans. These tube slim jeans fit the bill.
Now peruse the slideshow to see Gisele and Erin working it in Esprit, plus a few more of our favorite Fall pieces.
