Holiday Trendtotting: Winter Wonderland Looks

'Tis the season for holiday pictures and functions and every mama wants her children to look fashionable and festive. If you plan on spending the holidays in an icy-cold climate your tots will need warm layers to keep them comfy by the fire and out in the sleet and snow. Winter wear can get pricey quick, so consider picking up staple items like the Kids' Aigle Pedrix Wellington boots ($60) that can be paired with socks, tights and bright colors for a family portrait. Sensible dresses, boots, jackets and sweaters can be worn into the even colder months of January and February. Sir Rowf: Spoiled Sweet or Spoiled Rotten?

Would you put Sir Rowf front and center in your home? The Royal Animal Candles ($32–$36) come in a horse, bunny and this dog - appropriately named for his regal appearance - but would your pups be happy looking eye to eye with this waxy invader? (And, definitely, don't let them take a nibble.)

Personally, I think the designs are super detailed but watching the animals melt away (on a two-hour burn time) sounds a bit sad . . . and messy. I can imagine this bust and pillar fitting somebody's wish list, is it yours?

Uber cool London design duo PPQ have been creating a diffusion line for Oli for five seasons, but all good things must come to an end. They have just created their final line for Spring 2010 and designer Amy Molyneaux has modeled the pieces. The items in the collection include cute party dresses, a velvet blazer and their trademark Chanel-esque cardigan. Prices start from £60 and there are some great pieces for the party season.

Lego USB Hub: Love It or Leave It?

We've seen Lego coffee tables, a Lego kitchen, and even a Lego house. Here's my latest Lego-themed find: Lego USB Hubs ($20).

Available in four bright colors (yellow, red, black, and blue) the hubs are four inches long and have ports for up to four USB cables or devices.

It's definitely been a Lego-overload recently, but I have to admit, I'm a fan of this product, too. What do you think?

Two Bizarre Ways to Put Your Dogs to Work at a Tailgate
