This week in the world of stylish social media snaps, we caught up with Rachel Zoe and Alessandra Ambrosio by the pool, Bar Refaeli backstage, and Karlie Kloss in the MOMA's Rain Room. The model also met up with her newly engaged pal Behati Prinsloo at a Victoria's Secret event, while fellow catwalker Chanel Iman lounged on the beach in a very tropical locale. Poppy Delevingne struck a sexy pose on set, and her pal Alexa Chung laid down for a power nap, while Zac Posen hit the talk-show circuit to promote his stint on Project Runway.
It's hard enough to ignore an appearance from a Victoria's Secret Angel flying solo, let alone three of the VS supermodel brand ambassadors. So, when Erin Heatherton, Karlie Kloss, and Behati Prinsloo joined forces to celebrate Body by Victoria, you can imagine it was quite the glamazon photo op.
Each of the leggy ladies opted for a curve-flaunting bandage dress, playing up their Angel status and making it all the more difficult to crown a winner. But, we're turning it over to you — which of the Angels' looks wowed? Was it Erin in a peachy mini and nude peep-toe pumps, Karlie in a keyhole cutout fuchsia mini and black pointed-toe pumps, or newly engaged Behati in a red-hot mini and classic nude heels? That's up to you!
As it turns out, Karlie Kloss was doing a shoot for Vogue when she was spotted with Daft Punk in early June. The model and the French techno duo posed for photographer Craig McDean, who shot the trio for a story about new eveningwear for women of all ages.
The three set fans of both fashion and music atwitter when they were spotted walking around midtown New York. The model of the moment and the French musical duo responsible for Random Access Memories, arguably the best album of the Summer, were photographed at 42nd Street and Park Avenue by a number of passersby, some of whom speculated that the three were shooting a music video.
But now we know that's not the case. A look at some of the photos from McDean's shoot — and the many speculative Instagram posts it inspired — here in the gallery.
Summer is here, and our favorite style stars have wasted no time in sharing their sunny-day photos through social media. This week, we got a glimpse of Gisele Bündchen during a rain storm in Paris and a sweet snap of Chrissy Teigen posing with her pups. Eniko Mihalik and Lindsey Wixson got glammed up for the amfAR Inspiration Gala, while Solange kept it retro-cool for a day spent soaking up the sunshine. Kate Upton looked "happy" during a photo shoot, and a reportedly pregnant Rachel Zoe teamed up with the Make a Wish Foundation to design a handbag. Also, can you guess which model shared a snap while hanging in a hot spring in Iceland?
Last night's Target FEED dinner in honor of the brands' charitable collaboration was just as much a feast for the eyes — and not just because of the New York skyline or sweet country-chic tablescapes. A very chic celebrity crew stepped out for the festivities, showing off four different takes on the red-dress code.
Lea Michele dressed up a red top with a sophisticated blazer and a body-con black miniskirt, then finished it off with strappy heels and a statement necklace. Founder of FEED's philanthropic mission and cohost Lauren Bush Lauren was right on theme in a red wrap dress and Summer wedges. Sophia Bush cleverly obliged the dress code with a pop of red on her bag, heels, and lips, adding interest to her black and white Smythe suiting, and Karlie Kloss went totally red hot in a leather Jason Wu minidress. Now it's time to cast your vote — which of FEED's dinner guests looks best?
Lea Michele donned a hint of red to act as cohost of Target's FEED collaboration party held at Brooklyn Bridge Park yesterday in NYC, where she was joined by FEED's founder and cohost, Lauren Bush Lauren, as well as Sophia Bush, Karlie Kloss, and Mamie Gummer. The Summer soiree in celebration of Target's partnership with the FEED Foundation, which aims to end world hunger, also included a live performance from American Idol's Phillip Phillips. Lea showed her support for the cause on her social media account, writing, "Arrived in Brooklyn for the Target + FEED launch! Honored to be here to host w/ the lovely Lauren Bush to aid hunger relief."
Although Lea was out celebrating a good cause in NYC, the night took an unfortunate turn when she learned the news of James Gandolfini's death. She offered her sentiments on her Twitter account, writing, "Such sad news about James Gandolfini. What an incredible actor. My thoughts are with his family." Lea was not the only celebrity to share her thoughts about the passing of her Hollywood peer — see all the stars' reactions to James Gandolfini's death.
Cultivating a signature look is one of the more fun parts of beauty. Don't believe us? Just ask Karlie Kloss. The Victoria's Secret Angel has shown her incredible devotion to the smoky eye trend, sporting this look on a bevy of red carpets. Most recently, her smoldering gaze was spotted at the FEED USA + Target event last night (left). But Karlie has also taken a shine to the smoke at this year's Grammy's (top right) and at the premiere of The Immigrant at Cannes last month (bottom right). But we're curious: are you a fan of Karlie's obvious smoky eye fetish?
Stars celebrated the world of fashion in NYC last night at the 2013 CFDA Awards in Lincoln Center. The event honors top fashion designers, and stylish stars like Kerry Washington and Jessica Chastain joined the party on the arms of celebrated designers. Being that this was a style event, there were plenty of supermodels at the bash, including Victoria's Secret stars Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, and Karlie Kloss. Hillary Clinton also joined the bash to present the Founders Award to Oscar de la Renta, the man behind many of the former secretary of state's famous pantsuits. She joked about her sense of style during her speech, saying, "Now that I have some more time on my hands I am going to be pitching Andy Cohen and others a new show for Bravo. . . . We can call it Project Pantsuit." She also noted that she was embarrassed when she first met Oscar and he told her that she was wearing one of his designs.
Of course, there were a few stars in attendance who had a closer connection to the CFDA Awards other than just being fans of fashion. Tobey Maguire turned out to support his wife, jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer, who was nominated for the Swarovski Award for emerging talent for accessory design. Mary-Kate Olsen also attended the event after scooping up the highly coveted womenswear award with her sister Ashley back in 2012. Mary-Kate Olsen and her sister Elizabeth Olsen joined Miranda Kerr, Nicole Richie, and other celebs in turning heads on the red carpet at last night's CFDA Awards in NYC. Fashion editor Justin Fenner was there to interview the designers being honored at the annual gala, and he gives us the inside scoop on what took place. Hear what Michael Kors, Zac Posen, and more find special about the CFDA Awards — plus, find out how Hillary Clinton stole the show!
There's no denying that the unofficial honorees of the CFDA Awards are the ones who come arm in arm with the designers. Whether it's a relationship based on loyalty and friendship (looking at you, Karlie Kloss and the ladies of Cushnie et Ochs) or one that gives way to jaw-dropping jewels (Sofia Vergara in Lorraine Schwartz, anyone?), or just best friends at it again (Alexander Wang and Erin Wasson), date night rarely looks this chic.
A closer look at all the designers with their dates, here in the gallery.
